We partner with institutions of higher education to work to prevent and end homelessness.
Graduate social work students fine-tune their personal approach and clinical skills as they assess walk-in clients and, eventually, carry their own caseloads and provide therapy sessions to clients.
Students and residents regularly collaborate with our care providers as part of their professional training.
Medical and nursing students learn about caring for individuals with very limited resources and deeply challenging life situations.
One student noted that providers here treat health issues “thought to be common only in the developing world.”
Higher Education Partners:
Due to Covid-19 we are updating our clinical learning process to ensure everyone's safety. This means that clinical learning opportunities will be selective and limited during this time. Please check back periodically for updates. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator, Danielle McDonald.
