Same staff, new roles!

05.26.21

Fast Fact: So far in 2021, we have filled 28 staff positions, and 17% of them were through internal transfers and promotions.

Since February, 10 staff members have ventured into new roles at the agency. See who they are and what they are looking forward to most!

Lilian Amaya—Coordinator of Community Health & Outreach (March 1, 2021)

Previously Lead Community Health Worker

"I am most excited about everything and very thankful to have an incredibly dedicated team! The work that continues outside of the Fallsway clinic walls is outstanding and has no bounds. We have so much going on out there! Street outreach, encampment and shelter visits, CHW escorts, food & medication deliveries, and COVID vaccinations are just a few examples. We have a big presence, even in the midst of a pandemic and I am so very excited to be a part of it and build on our collective work with community partners."

Reginald Butler—Peer Advocate (May 10, 2021)

Previously Security Guard

"I am extremely happy to be able to better help the people that come from the same communities that I come from."

Emilie Casselle, RN—MAT RN (March 15, 2021)

Previously RN Case Manager

"I love working and learning with Molly and being able to work with our clients with a harm reduction mindset. I look forward to all that lies ahead in MAT!

Tyler Cornell, CRNP—Lead Medical Provider (April 26, 2021)

Previously Nurse Practitioner

"I'm very excited about this new position and having the opportunity to suport medical providers and provide the highest quality of clinical care!"

Ryan Frederick—Registered Nurse Manager (April 26, 2021)

Previously Registered Nurse

Charmaine Hardy —Lead Case Manager (March 15, 2021)

Previously Case Manager

"I'm so excited for this opportunity to assist in the leadership of the case management team/FAMILY!!! "Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible."

Megan Henry, LCSW-C— Supportive Housing Coordinator (ACIS) (May 24, 2021)

Previously Lead Therapist Case Manager II

"I am excited and honored to be able to serve as the new Supportive Housing Coordinator. I’ve had the privilege of working with the ACIS team in Supportive Housing for the past few years, and now I have the chance to help the program grow even further!"

Antonio Hunter—Community Health Worker (March 15, 2021)

Previously Security Guard

"I'm looking forward to my role as a CHW in helping clients more than I could as a security guard. I love the new role because I feel I can touch the lives of others in a more helpful and powerful way!"

Jessica Leopold, LCSW-C—Director of Housing Services (March 15, 2021)

Previously ACIS Program Coordinator

"I really loved my role as the ACIS Program Coordinator. This new position allows me the opportunity to still be involved in ACIS while also pushing forward the work of our other housing programs. This is a really busy time for Housing Services and I am so excited to be involved in helping our clients be able to successfully exit homelessness. There are few better feelings in this world than watching someone who has struggled for years to put a stable roof over their head to be able to sign their lease and get their keys. I know in this role I have huge shoes to fill (this is not an insinuation that Lawanda has large feet in the literal sense, only figuratively!), and I see that as motivation to do my best work and to serve our clients and our city well."

Danielle McDonald— Volunteer Manager (March 15, 2021)

Previously Volunteer Specialist

"As a new hire during Covid-19 I wasn’t at the agency so getting to know my co-workers was hard to do. With the promotion I have been able to engage with the different departments and broaden my understanding of their scope of work. I’m excited to be branching out and working with the Behavioral Health and Medical departments to bring on clinical learners. Volunteering, in any capacity, is such a critical and important role in engagement and I’m looking forward to fostering/building networks to aid Health Care for the Homeless in our mission!"
