Chocolate Affair 2020: An unforgettable night

02.04.20

On Saturday, February 1, a who's who of Baltimore filled the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront as 700+ people enjoyed a chocolate-fueled evening of dancing and giving at the Health Care for the Homeless Chocolate Affair presented by CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield. Generous supporters donated over $500,000 through the event, which will help over 1,000 neighbors experiencing homelessness get the care they need to rediscover health, confidence and home.

The greater purpose of the event was told through Charles Himple's incredible story (watch the video). After years of poor health and homelessness, Charles received the care he needed to control diabetes, treat addiction, mend family ties, go back to school and move into his own apartment. “For the first time in 51 years, my name is on the lease," he says. "This is my little castle. It’s small, but it’s mine.” That’s what contributions to Health Care for the Homeless make possible!

Thank you to the amazing volunteers, chefs, sponsors, staff—and to YOU—for making the Health Care for the Homeless Chocolate Affair such a success.
