What: Join Director of Public Policy Joanna Diamond for a conference call. You'll have the chance to share your thoughts and ideas about the most pressing issues we should consider for our advocacy work in 2020. Prepare for the call by taking a look at our process for prioritizing policy work here and by considering the following categories and examples:

1. Health: Barriers or gaps in Medicaid and Medicare coverage, harm reduction initiativeS
2. Housing: Local or state programs that provide housing assistance (rent, utilities, voucher programs, etc.)
3. Income: Public benefits programs and challenges within those programs (TCA, TDAP, SNAP/food assistance, etc.) 
4. Across categories: Youth experiencing homelessness, criminal justice barriers to employment or housing, impact of federal rules (such as anti-immigration policy)

Questions to consider ahead of the call:

• Do your clients face barriers related to any of the issues above?
• Is your work and/or practice affected by any of these issues?
• What other issues are not on this list that you see as barriers to health care, housing or income?
